Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is a sorority of college-educated women dedicated to sisterhood, scholarship, and service. Zeta Mu became the first historically black sorority chartered on Miami University’s campus March 29, 1969. As a public service organization, we are committed to serving those within and without our community. In Oxford we have volunteered with Oxford Parks and Recreation, Oxford Food Pantry, as well as Mini University. In addition, Jabberwock Talent Extravaganza, our annual philanthropy event, has generated hundreds of dollars in donations towards various causes including Mary Help of the Sick Mission Hospital in Kenya and Haiti disaster relief. All of our programs are guided by our National 5 Point Programmatic Thrust: Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Political Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health. Some examples of programs include Spending Savvy and Afrocentric. We believe “Intelligence is the Torch of Wisdom.”
